Getting that beautiful flower garden that you see in flower garden magazines is easier than you think.  Yet, with today's busy schedules, many of us give up on the idea of a flower garden because we assume it is far too complicated.  There's the complicated rose, fussy hydrangeas, and deciding the color of your flower garden. But there is a simple way to get a beautiful and quick flower garden.

Make your flower garden simple. First, take a moment to size up the garden area where you want plant your new flower garden.  Choose maybe one or two flowers and flower colors for your garden.  You will get the job of planting your flowers done much quicker if you only have to learn about one or two flowers at a time.

Pick a weekend and a budget. Visit your local garden center and browse around until you find one or two flowers that catch your eye and will look beautiful in your new flower garden.   If you have a small budget, simply purchase a few of your favorite flowers and plant them farther apart.

Make your flower garden fun.  Choose medium size flowers.  Flowering shrubs and small plants are the easiest and fastest way to get lots of color in your flower garden.  Choose plants such as Gardenias or Floribunda roses for a quick splash of color and easy planting.

Once your flowers are planted, you will have effortlessly started your prized flower garden.  You will enjoy your flower garden from start to finish. When you make creating your flower garden simple and fun, you will be motivated by a positive, short and happy experience in starting your flower garden.

This is the first secret to an easy flower garden for the busy or occasional gardener, start small. The second secret is to choose a flowering bush instead of small flowers or annuals.  These beautiful bushes will give you the most color for the least amount of effort.  They are hardy enough for you to water with your automatic sprinklers, instead of the hand watering that is sometimes required when planting more delicate, small plants.

Flower gardens rarely stay the same, and once they are started, adding more flowers will bring years of enjoyment.
